What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal involves the use of laser light pulses to eliminate unwanted hair by gradually weakening the hair follicle, causing it to eventually shed. While this process effectively slows down hair growth, it cannot guarantee permanent hair removal. The typical industry standard for laser hair reduction ranges from 70% to 90% hair reduction, as hormonal factors can influence hair regrowth. For optimal results, treatments are recommended every 4-8 weeks, varying depending on the treated area, and consistency with the treatments is crucial to observe noticeable changes in hair cycles.

Best For

  • Unwanted Hair
  • Ingrown hairs

Elysion® employs a particular light wavelength, which is carefully absorbed by the melanin encompassing the hair follicle, the laser treatment is administered to the skin. This process conducts heat down to the follicle's base, leading to the coagulation or cessation of blood flow to the follicle. Simultaneously, the Elysion 'Cool Freeze' technology cools the skin to safeguard and prevent any harm to the surrounding skin. As a result, the hair is permanently destroyed and eliminated, and over the following week, it naturally sheds, leaving the skin hair-free and exceptionally smooth.

With each treatment, visible hair will be removed. Since laser hair removal is most effective on hairs in the growing stage that are visible on the skin, a series of treatments is necessary. It's important to note that, at any given time, only around 30% of hairs are visible on the skin's surface. Therefore, to achieve maximum clearance, additional treatments are needed to target each phase of hair growth.

To attain the desired level of hair reduction, a minimum of 6 appointments every 4-6 weeks is optimal.
